Fort Smith Transit Department

The Fort Smith Transit Transfer Station is located in downtown Fort Smith on Garrison Ave., just east of 8th street. There is a bench provided for customers comfort and convienence. All buses depart this station straight up on every hour, during regular business hours.

To hail the bus from road-side on a fixed route, please stand on side of road or sidewalk in clear view and FLAG (wave at the driver) the bus as it approaches. You MUST hail the bus to be picked up, drivers will not stop if you do not hail them.

We currently service four fixed routes in the Fort Smith city limits.
Route 1 is the Midland Blvd. Route, and covers the north side of Fort Smith, including Regan Homes, Gerber, and OK Foods.
Route 2 is the Grand Ave. Route, and covers the north-east side of Fort Smith, including Harps, Gorman Towers, and Central Mall.
Route 3 is the Rogers Ave. Route, and covers the east side of Fort Smith, including Midtown Apartments, Central Mall, Saint Edwards Mercy Hospital, and Walmart Super Center.
Route 4 is the Towson Ave. Route, and covers the south side of Fort Smith, including Sparks Hospital, Phoenix Village Mall, Walmart Super Center, and Jenny Lind Road.
